Sonic Youth formed in New York in the early 1980’s. The quartet is associated with the No Wave music scene and embraced the DIY ethic of creating a unique sound. They are critically acclaimed, unorthodox and prolific, releasing over 16 albums, appearing at numerous international festivals and television appearances.
Sonic Youth celebrated the release of Rather Ripped and at a sold out June 13th, 2006 show at the club. The band hadn’t played the club since 1992 and was joined by Pavement bassist, Mark Ibold.
