On This Day/ Mrs Robinson
Friday, March 12th, 2010On this day in 1969, Simon and Garfunkel’s Mrs Robinson receives a Grammy for Record of the Year. A version of the song was featured in the 1967 movie, The Graduate and in 1968 was a number 1 hit. In the 1990’s, The Lemonheads had chart success covering the song. Although their version of Mrs Robinson was not included on their album It’s a Shame About Ray, it was included on the album’s re-release.
