On This Day in 2004. Harley’s War played a sold out Sunday Matinee. Harley is also a founding member of The Cro Mags, and he started his career at age 10 drumming for The Stimulators.

On This Day/ Mrs Robinson
Friday, March 12th, 2010On this day in 1969, Simon and Garfunkel’s Mrs Robinson receives a Grammy for Record of the Year. A version of the song was featured in the 1967 movie, The Graduate and in 1968 was a number 1 hit. In the 1990’s, The Lemonheads had chart success covering the song. Although their version of Mrs Robinson was not included on their album It’s a Shame About Ray, it was included on the album’s re-release.

Thursday, March 11th, 2010On this day in 2003, CBGB hosted the third annual Swedish Music Festival sponsored by Export Music Sweden and the Consulate General of Sweden. This two day festival was the first stop as the festival continued on to the South By South West Festival. This year’s headline act were The Sounds. Previous headliners include The Soundtrack of our Lives and The Hives.
